Spring Time

Who doesn't love Spring? It's my favorite season of all. The flowers blooming seem to paint the perfect picture of joy on the canvas of life. Last year I planted a flower garden for the very first time and it was one of the most rewarding things I've done to date. There's just something about working the garden and seeing the growth that takes place because of your hard work. Flowers bring so much happiness. There's a reason they are given in times of joy and sorrow.

Outdoor Tip

If you have pesky squirrels that want to dig all your pretty flowers up, try cayenne pepper. It works! I dealt with that last year, but as soon as I started sprinkling cayenne pepper on the soil the problem was solved. Just be sure to reapply after every rain. My flower garden was in raised garden beds on my patio/pergola area so the dirt was constantly being distributed by the squirrels on all of my furniture before I found this solution.

Outdoor Office

Because I love the outdoors so much, one of my favorite things to do is work outside. I'm thankful that I work from home and can literally have an outdoor office in my pergola space. I spend hours at a time on my computer and phone doing business tasks. Being able to do this in a beautiful space with birds singing in the background makes my job much more pleasurable!
